Designer on the Move "Must Have": Acorn Filigree Gunmetal Fabric
One of the fun things about putting together a new home is selecting all of the fabrics! Our dining room fabric, in particular, was actually selected by my sidekick. The Acorn Filigree Gunmetal fabric he picked is the perfect blend of Ralph Lauren vintage with South of France comfort. Deciding to paint our walls Benjamin Moore's "Almost Black" the Acorn Filigree will provide a nice contrast to the space.

Designer on the Move "Must Have": Espresso Machine
I am preparing to move and in my planning, I am finding a few must have items that I would like to incorporate into my new digs. A new wall espresso machine is first on the list, so call the electrician and order up some beans...this one is great!

Pearson Publishing Project: KK's Day Off
As an interior designer I have a real soft spot for the flat file. For the non-designers, a flat file is a practical storage system shaped to hold full-size drawings laid out flat, to prevent curling that comes with the stereotypical roll of drawings. I admit there is something to be said for looking at drawings in their printed form, breaking up hours of endlessly staring at the computer screen.

Pearson Publishing Project: Joe Ruggiero
Writing an Introduction to Interior Design textbook and creating a multi-media project for college students with Pearson Publishing has allowed me to meet and interview wonderful people and have access to fabulous places. First Chicago and now we plan for our tour in Los Angeles--surely an interior design mecca.
